1. Online training course for the benefit of research professors and administrators: The first offer is a scholarship to attend an online training course for research professors and administrators titled ‘Data Science for Public Policy,’ taking place from October 13 to 30, 2026.

2. NELSON MANDELA PhD Scholarship: The second offer is the Nelson Mandela scholarship for PhD students for the 2027/2028 academic year, taking place from March 3, 2027, to February 28, 2029.

Application procedures: Those wishing to apply should review the participation requirements, download the required documents, and complete the application file at the following link: https://www.agcid.gob.cl/becas/becas-para-extranjeros/ofertas-vigentes. 🔹 On Monday, June 29, 2026, the University Rector, Professor Abdelwahed Challa, presided over an expanded meeting of the Rector’s Council, attended by members of the university community from both the administrative and teaching staff.

🔹 This meeting was held to present the annual report on various activities, as well as to prepare for the 2026-2027 academic year. This included evaluating the achievements of the current academic year and outlining future directions.

🔹 The meeting agenda included an opening address by the University Rector, followed by presentations covering:

▪ The six-month progress report of the 2026-2030 institutional project.

▪ The annual report on the university’s infrastructure.

▪ The progress report on digitalization, digital platforms, and visual content.

▪ A report on the budget and staffing.

▪ A report on development programs.

🔹 Part of the meeting was also dedicated to discussion and exchange of views, before concluding with a set of recommendations and guidelines related to preparations for the 2026-2027 academic year; within the framework of continuing to improve performance and enhance the quality of education, scientific research, and university life.

The Administration of the Faculty of Arts and Languages informs all students at various levels that the registration process for the 2026/2027 academic year has been scheduled as follows:
  1.  The start of re-registration for the 2026/2027 academic year for non-new students via the integrated information system Progres begins on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
  2.  The start of payment for pedagogical re-registration fees, university housing, and transportation begins on July 13, 2026.

Note: The above-mentioned processes are primarily linked to online electronic payment of fees, similar to last year’s procedures using the payment card (Gold Card) only, without using postal transfer payment.

Important: The last date for electronic payment and deactivation of all student accounts via the information system is set for Saturday, July 25, 2026.
