16.2.1  Elected representation

Have elected representation on the university’s highest governing body from: students (both undergraduate and graduate), faculty, and staff (non-faculty employees)

 

YES ; In order for the University of Khenchela to implement elected representation in its highest administrative body, it required the establishment of formal structures to allow members of the university’s key stakeholders – students, faculty and staff – to participate in governance. Here is a summary of the steps taken into account to achieve this:

 1.Define Governance Structure and Responsibilities

Highest administrative body: The roles, decision-making authority and areas of supervision of the highest administrative body are clearly defined.

Representation Roles: Defines the roles of each elected representative (undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and non-faculty staff) and the input or voting power they have.

2. She set up election processes for each group

Student Representation: Separate elections for undergraduate students may be administered by the students or an election committee.

Faculty Representation: Faculty can vote for representatives within their departments or schools to ensure all academic areas are represented.
