Nominations are now open for the UNESCO-King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize 2026 for the use of information and communication technologies in education.

The university administration informs all professors, researchers, and doctoral students of the call for nominations for the 2026 UNESCO-King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in Education, organized by UNESCO.
This year’s theme:
“Reinventing Creativity and Critical Thinking with Artificial Intelligence”
Prize Amount:
Two (2) winners will be selected, each receiving US$25,000.
About the Prize:
Established in 2005 with the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain, this prize aims to reward innovative projects and initiatives that utilize information and communication technologies in outstanding ways to:
  • Improve the quality of education and learning
  • Develop teaching methods
  • Enhance overall educational performance
    Target Groups:
  • Individuals
  • Institutions
  • Non-governmental organizations
  • Educational and research bodies
    Deadline for Submissions:
    May 8, 2026
    Application Process:
    Applications must be submitted exclusively online through the National Committee. Algeria may submit a maximum of three (3) nominations.
