Scientific description of the team’s research program:
The team’s research themes are all part of a unifying research theme based on the study of the epistemological and conceptual aspects of chemistry (development of interpretive methods and rationalization of founding concepts from experimental chemistry). Our research team aims to study the structural properties, magnetic properties, optical properties and also electronic structures of new organometallic complexes, the design and synthesis of new molecules for sensors and also molecules with therapeutic effects. The team’s areas of interest cover all fundamental aspects and fields
Its applications extend over a vast area ranging from theoretical or methodological innovation in DFT (Density Functional Theory) approaches to numerical modeling and simulations of complex systems of interest in organic, inorganic or organometallic molecular chemistry.
Our team’s research finds its results in vast areas such as catalysis, asymmetric synthesis, molecular toxicology, the chemistry of extreme environments in the gas or condensed phase, molecular pharmacology or the study/development of new materials, chemical sensors.
