Strengthening the Culture of Entrepreneurship and Innovation
In line with the vision of the higher education and scientific research sector to empower universities to contribute to wealth creation and national economic development, and coinciding with the sector’s national awareness campaign aimed at strengthening the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation and encouraging students to transform their ideas and projects into tangible economic value,
On February 8, 2026, the University Rector, Professor Abdelwahed Challa, along with the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, presided over a working meeting that brought together deans of faculties, university representatives, department heads, heads of academic disciplines, students with innovative projects, scientific clubs, and student organizations. The purpose of the meeting was to officially launch the university-wide awareness campaign to guide students towards entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and to register their projects within the framework of Ministerial Decree No. 1275, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 008 (University Degree – Economic Enterprise Project).
The meeting included:
A speech by the University Rector, in which he presented the university’s strategy for supporting this approach and promoting entrepreneurship and innovation within the university community. The Vice-Rector of the University delivered a speech calling for the development of effective awareness mechanisms to facilitate broad student participation in this endeavor.
Speeches were given by representatives of the university’s various departments, outlining their role in supporting students and their projects.
Successful student experiences in entrepreneurship and innovation at Abbes Laghrour University Khenchela were presented as inspiring and motivating examples.
Finally, a discussion was opened with the attendees to exchange views and suggestions on how to ensure the success of the awareness campaign supporting the university’s involvement in the “University of Economic Enterprises” project, which aims to create wealth and jobs.
