The Faculty of Letters and Languages, through the “Creative Pen” Club and in coordination with the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Sports, and Cultural Activities, commemorates:
Victory Day (March 19th)
This date stands as a pivotal historical milestone in Algeria’s history, embodying the triumph of the Algerian people’s will after long years of struggle during the Algerian Revolution. This event followed the signing of the Evian Accords between the French government and the representatives of the National Liberation Front (FLN), which mandated a ceasefire effective March 19, 1962.
This anniversary remains a national occasion to honor the sacrifices of our martyrs (Shuhada) and veterans (Mujahideen). It serves to instill the values of patriotism and loyalty to our historical memory in younger generations, reinforcing the importance of preserving the gains of independence and building the nation’s future.
