Activities of the 70th Anniversary Celebration of Student Day

First Stop

🔹 To commemorate the 70th anniversary of Student Day, which falls on May 19th each year, the University Rector, Professor Abdelwahed Challa, participated today in the activities of this glorious national occasion under the auspices of the Governor of the Province.

🔹 The ceremonies began at the Martyrs’ Cemetery with the raising of the flag and the playing of the national anthem, followed by the laying of a wreath and the recitation of the opening chapter of the Quran (Al-Fatiha) in remembrance of the martyrs of this beloved nation.

Second Stop

🔹 On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Student Day, which falls on May 19th each year, the University Rector, Professor Abdelwahed Challa, along with his staff, received the Governor of the Province and his accompanying delegation, as part of the commemoration of this glorious historical occasion.

🔹 The activities began with the laying of a wreath and the recitation of the opening chapter of the Quran (Al-Fatiha) in remembrance of the martyrs. This was followed by a visit to the exhibition of innovative student projects, where students presented explanations and showcased their projects, reflecting their creativity and excellence.

Third Station

🔹 Today, in the main lecture hall, under the supervision of the University Rector, Professor Abdelwahed Challa, and in the presence of the Governor of the province and his delegation, the university community, and university guests, the activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of Student Day, which falls on May 19th of each year, commenced. The distinguished celebration featured a variety of high-quality student activities that reflected the symbolism of this glorious occasion.

✓ The program included the following:

▪️ Recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem.

▪️ A speech by the University Rector, Professor Abdelwahed Challa, in which he emphasized the symbolism of this occasion and the enduring role of students in building the nation through knowledge and work.

▪️ A speech by a student representative.

▪️ A historical lecture delivered by Dr. Qawasmiya Adel.

▪️ An artistic performance prepared by students entitled “Torch,” distinguished by its expressive performance embodying the message between the generation of students of the revolution and the generation of students of independence.

▪️ A poem by student Abdel Salam Ben Najah entitled “Glory Was Born in Our Time.”

▪️ A theatrical performance by students, supervised by Professor Hossam Arar, entitled “Ululations in the Face of the Gallows,” which embodied the fusion of artistic creativity with the profound historical event.

▪️ Honoring outstanding students in various national and university competitions in the fields of media, sports, innovative projects, chess, poetry and literature, Quran memorization and recitation, in addition to sports competitions (table tennis and football).

🔹 The event concluded in a joyful atmosphere marked by happiness and pride in Student Day, with commemorative photos capturing the beauty and spirit of this celebration.
