Professor Abdelwahed Challa, Rector of Abbes Laghrour University Khenchela, participated today, July 25, 2026, in the National Conference of Universities, which was chaired by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The conference was attended by sector officials, directors of higher education institutions, heads of regional conferences, and representatives of national bodies and social partners.
The conference featured the presentation of the roadmap for the new academic year, which included a number of strategic projects, most notably:
Strengthening the smart university model by employing artificial intelligence to support students and develop the pedagogical process and scientific research.
Supporting entrepreneurship, innovation, and entrepreneurship within the university, with the goal of launching 5,000 innovative Algerian products on the national market by 2030.
Launching the second edition of the “Protomarket” program and developing funding mechanisms for innovative projects and startups.
Establishing a culture of quality by adopting international standards and enhancing the visibility of Algerian universities and international academic engagement.
Continuing the development of university services through digitization, improving accommodation and catering, and enhancing the quality of student life.
