The Department of Arabic Language and Literature is one of the three departments that make up the Faculty of Arts and Languages of Abbas Laghrour Khenchela University, located in the Hamma Complex, um El Bouaghi Road, exactly in Wing B, branching into the following administrative facilities: The Office of the Head of the Department with his secretariat, The Office of the Deputy Head of the Department in charge of Pedagogy; The offices of the Teaching Department, the Education and Evaluation Followup Service, and the Office of the Deputy Head of the Department in charge of PostGraduation and Scientific Research include: The training team, head of the Higher Training Service for PostGradualism and PostGraduate Specialization, the Department of Arabic Language and Literature includes two research laboratories: the first: contemporary critical imagination and modernist studies in thought, language and literature, and the second: translation and discourse analysis, cultural studies, digital, and comparison.The department has 628 students, including 401 students in the first phase / bachelor, 227 students in the second phase / master, and 50 students in the third phase / doctorate. They are supervised by eighty (80) professors distributed according to the following ranks: 11 with the rank of professor of higher education, 20 professors with the rank of lecturer A, 16 lecturers B, 22 assistant professors A, 09 assistant professors B.
