The SCIIA team is active in the synthesis of original hybrid compounds, their characterization, modeling and nano-structure correlations. Our compounds suggest interesting physicochemical properties.  Given their optical activity, they constitute basic materials for spectroscopic analysis devices (I.R., visible). In biology and medicine, hybrid compounds based on amino acids govern all chemical reactions occurring in different metabolisms of living beings and knowledge of their chemical behavior helps in understanding the complex processes of the chemistry of life.  The development of original hybrid materials in solid or liquid phases requires imagining and creating new structures combining organic-inorganic.  The interest in hybrid compounds combining organic and mineral is constantly growing and presents interesting structural properties.  This research targets the wide variety of properties of our hybrid compounds (pharmacology, catalysis, agriculture, nonlinear optics, solid-state batteries, etc.)

The main scientific objectives sought:

– Synthesis of new hybrid compounds.-Optimization of syntheses and crystallization.- X-ray diffraction – Optical and magnetic properties – Properties-nanostructures correlations.

More than sixty (60) articles have been published by my team on this subject since the creation of the laboratory as well as several doctorates, Magisters and Masters supported on this line of research.
