May 19th holds deep significance in Algeria as National Student Day, marking the 1956 decision by the General Union of Algerian Muslim Students (UGEMA) to go on strike and join the Algerian Revolution (1954-1962). Rejecting the French colonial education system aimed at erasing their identity, students chose to fight for independence and a sovereign education system. This courageous act turned the date into a symbol of youth resistance and the struggle for liberation. Today, it honors students’ sacrifices and their role in shaping Algeria’s future. On the occasion of celebrating Student Day on May 19th, a student exhibition was held with wide participation from students, showcasing their creative and outstanding projects in various fields. Call for applications for the Indian AYUSH scholarship program for the year 2025-2026  The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is  receiving a call for applications for the AYUSH scholarship program for the 2025-2026 academic year for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students wishing to pursue studies in various medical specialties and disciplines such as Ayurvedha, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and homeopathy. For further information, interested candidates can visit the following link: https://shorturl.at/pSHrd on June 8, 2025. Registration is open until: www.a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in After registering, students who have applied to this program must inform the Vice-Rectorate for External Relations and Cooperation of their application, so that their names can be forwarded to the appropriate authorities.
