Blood Donation Campaign
Blood Donation Campaign To commemorate the 71st anniversary of the glorious revolution of November 1, 1954, Abbas Laghrour University of Khenchela, under the supervision of the University Rector and through the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities, as well as the Preventive Medicine Unit, organized a blood donation campaign on November 5, 2025, in coordination with the Khenchela Provincial Blood Donors Association. The campaign was overseen by a qualified medical and paramedical team from the blood banks of Ahmed Ben Bella Hospital and Ali Bousahaba Hospital in Khenchela, who worked tirelessly to ensure the initiative’s success. The campaign witnessed broad participation from various members of the university community, including professors, staff, and students, reflecting the values of solidarity and cohesion embodied in the glorious revolution. It also demonstrated an awareness of the importance of blood donation, which strengthens the values of citizenship and social responsibility, contributes to supporting the healthcare system, and helps patients and save lives. A Study Day on the Consumer’s Right to Information and Publication of Prices and Tariffs in Traditional and E-commerce On November 3, 2025, the Directorate of Commerce of Khenchela Province, in coordination with Abbas Laghrour University of Khenchela (through its Faculty of Law and Political Science, as well as the Faculty of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences), the Khenchela Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the provincial office of the General Union of Traders and Craftsmen, organized a study day on the consumer’s right to information and publicization of prices and tariffs in traditional and e-commerce. Participants included representatives from various relevant sectors, professors specializing in economics and law, and consumer protection associations. They presented scholarly papers addressing transparency in price display, regulation of various commercial practices, consumer protection mechanisms in the context of the shift towards e-commerce, and the importance of legal awareness in safeguarding the rights of consumers. Third Awareness Day on the Importance of Early Detection of Breast and Cervical Cancer As part of its efforts to raise health awareness and promote a culture of prevention within the university community, the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, through its “Water, Health, Environment” Biotechnology Laboratory and in coordination with the National Organization of Algerian Midwives – Khenchela Branch, organized its third annual awareness day on October 28, 2025. The event, held under the chairmanship of Dr. Mayada Ouannas and the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, featured presentations by a select group of specialist doctors and midwives who delivered lectures and provided educational advice. The First National Forum on Sustainable Management of Agricultural and Biological Resources Today, October 21, 2025, the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences and the Laboratory for the Management, Conservation, and Valorization of Agricultural and Natural Resources, under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, organized the First National Forum on Sustainable Management of Agricultural and Biological Resources: Agriculture and Water (CABRSM 2025), chaired by Dr. Aouidane Al-Ayesh.
