National In-Person Symposium on Philosophy and Cinema
Philosophy and cinema was the theme of the national in-person symposium organized today, October 28, 2025, by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, under the supervision of the Dean and chaired by Dr. Fatima Farfouda.
The symposium featured high-quality in-person participation from professors and researchers from various humanities and social sciences disciplines, representing more than 16 national universities. Participants discussed the ongoing intellectual debate surrounding cinematic discourse and the philosophical field of film-mysticism, as well as the transformation of cinema from a source of entertainment and enjoyment to a space for knowledge production and the presentation of philosophical, critical, and cultural perspectives.
