Team Leader: Dr. H Ramoul
Studies and research work to be carried out: The CSIP team is interested in studying controllability, parameter identification (source terms, coefficients, boundary terms), stabilization, and the identification of boundary geometry in problems governed by partial differential equations.
One of the main objectives is to establish stability inequalities through new Carleman estimates and thus recover the uniqueness of the measured objects. The combination of Carleman estimates with observability inequalities also allows us to establish controllability results. Optimal control is also present in these identification techniques and can help in parameter reconstruction by developing appropriate algorithms for numerical computation.
A second focus of the CSIP team is to study and establish new results for the stabilization of evolution problems. The physical models to be studied also take into account dynamic boundary conditions (of the Ventcel type).
A third focus area is dedicated to the identification and reconstruction of the geometry of objects (tomography and cosmology models) based on variants of Dirichlet-to-Neumann operators.
Keywords: Ill-posed problems, inverse problems, Carleman inequalities, Stability, Controllability, Optimal Control of PDEs, parameter identification and reconstruction, Dirichlet-to-Neumann Operator.
