Third Awareness Day on the Importance of Early Detection of Breast and Cervical Cancer
As part of its efforts to raise health awareness and promote a culture of prevention within the university community, the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, through its “Water, Health, Environment” Biotechnology Laboratory and in coordination with the National Organization of Algerian Midwives – Khenchela Branch, organized its third annual awareness day on October 28, 2025. The event, held under the chairmanship of Dr. Mayada Ouannas and the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, featured presentations by a select group of specialist doctors and midwives who delivered lectures and provided educational advice. Interactive sessions with attendees were also held, and the event was very well-received by faculty members, staff, and students.
The Faculty’s Cultural and Scientific Activities Department also made significant contributions through the participation of the Aurès Green Club and the Ibn Sina Club. The scientific awareness day activities continued with early detection operations at the level of the central clinic of the university, then at the Faculty of Law and Political Science with the support of the Dean of the Faculty, and this is to emphasize the importance of prevention and early detection in protecting women’s health.
