Water Economy in Algeria: Seawater Desalination to Ensure Sustainable Water Resources
The theme of the national conference on water economy in Algeria, held on November 24, 2025, was “Seawater Desalination to Ensure Sustainable Water Resources.” Organized by the Faculty of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences, under the supervision of the Dean, the conference was held in conjunction with the Green Economy and Renewable Energies Laboratory, the Center for Entrepreneurship Development, and the Sustainable Development and Startups Laboratory.
The conference saw significant participation from professors and researchers representing more than 16 national universities. Also in attendance were the Director of the National Sanitation Office and the Director of Algerian Water.
This conference provided an important scientific opportunity to enhance the exchange of expertise and research on water economy and to support national efforts aimed at adopting innovative solutions to ensure the sustainability of water resources.
