Abbas Laghrur University, through its Faculty of Law and Political Science and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty and the guidance and accompaniment of a team of professors and staff, organised a #scientific_visit for outstanding students in the Law Department to the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Combating Corruption in Algiers. During the visit, the President of the Authority, Dr. Salima Mesrati, and other members provided students with detailed explanations about this important constitutional body and its active role in achieving transparency and preventing and combating corruption.

The university relies on numerous training and awareness programmes aimed at the wider community, whether graduates, employees or civil servants, through a range of training courses to improve their skills and competences, as well as programmes and research projects to study legal and social phenomena.
In the context of health awareness and promoting a culture of prevention within the university community, the Biotechnology Laboratory, in coordination with the National Organisation of Algerian Midwives, organised a scientific awareness day on the importance of early detection of breast cancer, offering lectures, awareness-raising advice and interactive sessions with attendees. Early screening was carried out at the university’s central clinic, emphasising the importance of prevention and early detection in protecting women’s health.
- IN, 3 November 2025, the Directorate of Trade of the Province of Khenchela, in coordination with Abbas Laghrur University of Khenchela – through the Faculty of Law and Political Science and the Faculty of Economics, Business and Management Sciences – and the Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Chellia, the Provincial Office of the General Union of Traders and Craftsmen, a study day on consumer rights in terms of information and advertising of prices and tariffs in regular and e-commerce, with the participation of various representatives of the sectors concerned, as well as professors specialising in economics and law and consumer protection associations. They presented scientific papers on the subject of transparency in price display and the regulation of various commercial practices, as well as consumer protection mechanisms in the context of the shift towards e-commerce and the importance of legal awareness in protecting the rights of consumers.
- Following this study day, an addendum was signed to activate the implementation of the cooperation agreement between the Directorate of Trade of the Wilaya of Khenchela and the Faculty of Law and Political Science, and a second agreement in the same context with the Faculty of Economic, Commercial and Management Sciences, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in areas such as scientific research, training, the organisation of joint scientific events and awareness-raising campaigns.
