On November 11, 2024, the Rector of Abbes Laghrour University Khenchela presided over the opening ceremony of the First Edition of the Book Fair, held at the Reading Hall of the Faculty of Science and Technology.
The event was organized by the Sub-Directorate for Scientific, Cultural and Sports Activities and the Central Library of Abbes Laghrour University Khenchela, in coordination with the publishing house “Beirut Library”.

A field visit was organized for students of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences to the faculty library, under the supervision and guidance of the faculty’s professors.
In the framework of promoting open access to knowledge, the Abbes Laghrour University Khenchela organized a five-day training course for library staff, under the supervision of the Head of the Central Library and with the participation of special ists from the Research Center on Scientific and Technical Information (CERIST).
This course aims to support the project of digitizing the university library through the use of modern software that contributes to improving the quality of library services and facilitating public access to books, publications, and scientific resources, in line with the university’s orientation towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the field of education and open knowledge.
