Key Dates for the Academic Year 2024/2025 Pedagogical Calendar Please find below the key dates for finalizing the pedagogical calendar of the academic year 2024/2025, as follows: Exit period: From May 15, 2025, to May 27, 2025. Submission deadline: From May 28, 2025, to May 31, 2025. Exam paper grading phase: From May 28, 2025, to May 31, 2025, with the mandatory preparation of a calendar published on May 27, 2025, to be adhered to by the concerned professors (the calendar is prepared by the department administration in coordination with the Vice-Deanship of Pedagogy). Enter all grades on the digital platform by Thursday, May 29, 2025. Closing date: January 1, 2025. Departure period: From January 2, 2025, to January 5, 2025. Departure period: From January 10, 2025, to January 14, 2025. Final deadline for thesis submission: May 30, 2025. As for the defense schedule, it will be planned later in coordination with the Vice-Dean, as scheduling is now centralized under the Vice-Deanship of Pedagogy. Holidays: January 18 and 19, 2025. Announcement of the Opening of the 52nd Session of the National University Committee The Human Resources Directorate of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research informs all “Maîtres de Conférences, Class A” (Lecturers, Category A) about the opening of the 52nd session of the National University Committee. In accordance with Article 50 of Executive Decree No. 08-130 dated May 3, 2008, concerning the statutory regulations for university professors (as amended), eligible candidates must have five years of effective service in their current position to submit their applications. Candidates should note that scientific eligibility is subject to minimum criteria based on their field of specialization, provided they meet one of the specified selection criteria. Additionally, pedagogical and scientific work will be evaluated according to the assessment grid established by the National University Committee, available on the ministry’s website: https://www.mesrs.dz. May 19th holds deep significance in Algeria as National Student Day, marking the 1956 decision by the General Union of Algerian Muslim Students (UGEMA) to go on strike and join the Algerian Revolution (1954-1962). Rejecting the French colonial education system aimed at erasing their identity, students chose to fight for independence and a sovereign education system. This courageous act turned the date into a symbol of youth resistance and the struggle for liberation. Today, it honors students’ sacrifices and their role in shaping Algeria’s future. On the occasion of celebrating Student Day on May 19th, a student exhibition was held with wide participation from students, showcasing their creative and outstanding projects in various fields.
