Minutes of the Local Committee Meeting for Visual, Classification, and Digitization Promotion Date: January 21, 2026   As part of the ongoing monitoring of digitization efforts and initiatives aimed at enhancing the university’s global ranking, and in implementation of the decisions of the University Council meeting held on January 20, 2026, and within the framework of the digital transformation strategy, it was decided to officially launch the “Attendance Tracking Platform” starting Sunday, January 25, 2026. During the meeting, the following agenda items were discussed and reviewed: Professional Email: Completion of the process of sending official accounts (professional email addresses and passwords) to all faculty members. User Platform: Platform administrators will provide all faculty members with their login credentials (username and password). Attendance Tracking: Emphasis was placed on the necessity of recording student attendance via the platform within a maximum of 24 hours from the start of the class. Administrative Auditing: Review and verification of student lists and their distribution according to groups. Development of Digital Services: Implementing the necessary technical modifications to the “Certificate of Employment” form in the user platform. New Digital Platforms Launched at Khenchela University   As part of the regular meetings dedicated to monitoring digitization efforts and enhancing the university’s global ranking, the following agenda items were addressed and discussed: 1-Google Scholar Ranking: Receiving updated lists from the various faculties and forwarding them to Ms. Bediaf Leila to finalize the annual report for 2025. International Rankings: Analyzing and discussing data related to the QS World University Rankings. 2-Sectoral Statistics: Presenting detailed digital data for each faculty (student, faculty, and administrative staff). 3-Human Resources Digitization: Monitoring the progress of linking employee data to their dedicated digital platform and evaluating the rate of issuing electronic salary certificates. 4-E-Learning (Moodle): Presenting statistical data on the activity and use of the Moodle platform. 5-Activating the Absences Platform: Completing the entry of remaining data for the faculties. 6-Preparing student and faculty lists (in Arabic and French) and assigning groups and classrooms to ensure the platform’s effective launch. 7-Deliberation Platform: Emphasizing the necessity of including exam grades in the digital deliberation minutes platform. Training course on new digital platforms In alignment with the agenda of the periodic meetings of the local committee tasked with promoting the university’s visibility, ranking, and digitization, the following key areas were reviewed: Digitization of Administrative Management:A training session was organized on the updated version of the User Platform (1.1) for the heads of digitization offices and human resources departments within the faculties. The objective is to automate administrative procedures and enhance inter-departmental coordination by reviewing new features and discussing ways for further development. Digitization of Pedagogical Affairs:A technical presentation was given for the new platform dedicated to managing student absences and time schedules. The two parties discussed the possibility of implementing a number of joint scientific projects of a pedagogical and research nature, proposed within the framework of a joint cooperation agreement between the two universities. Following this meeting, the two parties also agreed to launch a joint Master’s program after the agreement is signed at the University of Khenchela, in addition to a diverse program of scientific visits and joint supervision between the two universities. The Mauritanian Authority for Quality Assurance is the official national body responsible for ensuring the quality and accreditation of higher education institutions in Mauritania to guarantee training in all disciplines. #Third_Stop As part of the scientific visit undertaken by the delegation from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Abbas Laghrour University of Khenchela to the University of Nouakchott, Mauritania, from December 8 to 11, 2025, and in order to ensure the involvement of scientific research laboratories in joint cooperation agreements, the delegation visited the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation to explore the possibility of networking the university’s laboratory for studies in social sciences and humanities with laboratories and research units at the University of Nouakchott. On the other hand, the scientific delegation at #FourthStation visited the Distance Learning Center and the Business and Professional Development Incubator at the University of Nouakchott to learn about the Mauritanian experience in this field.
