This event followed the signing of the Evian Accords between the French government and the representatives of the National Liberation Front (FLN), which mandated a ceasefire effective March 19, 1962. This anniversary remains a national occasion to honor the sacrifices of our martyrs (Shuhada) and veterans (Mujahideen).
