The Department of Common Education in Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences serves as the primary gateway and initial entry point for students into the world of higher education. It acts as a front-facing platform that leaves a lasting impression on students regarding the quality of training and education offered by the faculty as a whole.
For this reason, the Ministry in general, and the university—represented by the Rector and under the direct supervision of the Dean—have placed great importance on the quality of education and training in this department. In this regard, former officials entrusted Professor **Walid BIBI** with the responsibility of supervising and managing the department, given his strong scientific and pedagogical expertise, to ensure the department runs smoothly.
Accordingly, a number of faculty members have been appointed to teach and guide students, based on their academic ranks, experience, and expertise, in accordance with the instructions of the supervising ministry and the university’s and faculty’s commitment to imparting basic economic principles to students. This enables them to make informed choices about the academic streams that best suit their interests and capabilities.
The department’s administrative and pedagogical staff work diligently to provide most services digitally through several platforms established by the department—whether for handling student inquiries, receiving appeals, or for the annual student guidance process regarding the available specializations in the second year of the bachelor’s program.
Furthermore, the administrative and teaching teams regularly hold periodic meetings—whether at the beginning of the academic year, during monthly pedagogical meetings, or through informational, awareness-raising, and guidance days dedicated to supporting students, explaining the various available streams and specializations, and enabling them to make informed decisions. These sessions also serve to clarify the laws and regulations governing the training process within the department.
