Regarding Algeria’s participation in the WSIS Prizes 2026 competition organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), we are pleased to inform you that four Algerian projects have been selected for the next round:

1. DigiTrust Network – Category: Role of governments in ICT for development.

2. AIfor Digital Inclusion (AIDI) – Category: Information and communication infrastructure.

3. AI-Driven Building Footprint for FTTH – Category: Access to information and knowledge.

4. DZ-CheckNews – Category: Media.

We invite you to encourage your staff and teachers to vote for these projects on the ITU platform:

Voting ends on May 5, 2026 at 10:00 PM (Algiers time).

The top 5 projects with the highest votes in each category will be reviewed by an ITU expert committee, which will select the final winner.

The winners will be announced during the awards ceremony of the WSIS Forum 2026, to be held from July 6 to 10, 2026.
