First Semester Exams for the 2025-2026 Academic Year   The first semester exams for the 2025-2026 academic year began today, Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Abbas Laghrour University in Khenchela, under the supervision of the University Rector. The exams are being held across all faculties in a well-organized and efficient manner. The university administration has mobilized all available material and human resources to ensure the smooth running of these exams. A Scientific Lecture in Celebration of World Arabic Language Day   On December 15, 2025, the University Rector, Professor Abdelwahed Challa, welcomed Professor Habib Mounsi, who was a guest of the university at the invitation of the Faculty of Arts and Languages, to deliver a scientific lecture in celebration of World Arabic Language Day. The main lecture hall hosted this academic event, under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Languages ​​and the Head of the Higher Teacher Training Center, and in the presence of a select group of professors and students. #First_Stop As part of the scientific visit to the University of Nouakchott, Mauritania, from December 8th to 11th, 2025, commissioned by the University Rector, Professor Abdelwahed Challa, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Boubaker Ben Amran, and accompanied by a group of faculty members, an information day was organized at the University of Nouakchott on: Major Transformations in the Higher Education and Scientific Research Sector in Algeria – Abbas Laghrour University of Khenchela as a Case Study. The delegation from Abbas Laghrour University of Khenchela presented on the various reforms the sector has undergone, including the following topics: Towards an Algerian University Ranked Regionally and Internationally – The Ranking of Khenchela University in Arab and International Rankings as a Case Study. The two parties discussed the possibility of implementing a number of joint scientific projects of a pedagogical and research nature, proposed within the framework of a joint cooperation agreement between the two universities. Following this meeting, the two parties also agreed to launch a joint Master’s program after the agreement is signed at the University of Khenchela, in addition to a diverse program of scientific visits and joint supervision between the two universities. The Mauritanian Authority for Quality Assurance is the official national body responsible for ensuring the quality and accreditation of higher education institutions in Mauritania to guarantee training in all disciplines. #Third_Stop As part of the scientific visit undertaken by the delegation from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Abbas Laghrour University of Khenchela to the University of Nouakchott, Mauritania, from December 8 to 11, 2025, and in order to ensure the involvement of scientific research laboratories in joint cooperation agreements, the delegation visited the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation to explore the possibility of networking the university’s laboratory for studies in social sciences and humanities with laboratories and research units at the University of Nouakchott. On the other hand, the scientific delegation at #FourthStation visited the Distance Learning Center and the Business and Professional Development Incubator at the University of Nouakchott to learn about the Mauritanian experience in this field. The scientific visit concluded with a meeting between faculty members and Mauritanian graduates of Abbas Laghrour University of Khenchela since 2012.
