Regional competition entitled Generation of Innovation

In conjunction with National Science Day, and as part of its efforts to support innovation and foster a culture of entrepreneurship, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, under the supervision of its Dean, Dr. Boubaker Ben Omrane, organized a regional competition entitled “Generation of Innovation” on April 15, 2026. The competition was aimed at students in the fields of humanities and social sciences. 🔹 This first-of-its-kind initiative aims to encourage students to engage in innovation and motivate them to transform their ideas into viable projects, thereby contributing to strengthening the university’s role as a driver of development and wealth creation. 🔹 The competition was attended by a distinguished group, including the President of the National Committee for Training in the Humanities and Social Sciences, expert professors, deans from various universities across the country, and students who are considered successful role models in the field of innovation. This initiative aimed to share inspiring experiences with the participants. 🔹 The event saw the participation of 17 university institutions with a total of 45 student competitors, distributed across three main categories: ▪️ Best innovative and feasible economic idea ▪️ Best innovative presentation in English ▪️ Best historical research with social and humanitarian impact 🔹 The competition took place across three main stages: ✓ Stage One: This stage included an introduction to the competition, attended by university guests and faculty members, through a speech by the competition’s director, Professor Mahmoud Qarziz, followed by a speech from the Dean of the Faculty, and then a speech from the Head of the National Committee for the Humanities and Social Sciences, who officially opened the competition. ✓ Stage Two: The competitions commenced at both the Entrepreneurship Development Center and the Khenchela University Business Incubator, where students presented their projects in a highly competitive environment before an evaluation committee comprised of professors and specialized experts. ✓ Stage Three: This stage was dedicated to deliberations; The event then moved to the lecture hall to announce the winners, who were: ▪️ Boufench Wassila, a student from Skikda University, won the award for Best Innovative and Feasible Economic Idea. ▪️ Daghbouj Malak, a student from Souk Ahras University, won the award for Best Innovative Presentation in English in one of the humanities and social sciences disciplines. ▪️ Ansal Hanane, a student from Khenchela University, won the award for Best Historical Research with Social and Human Impact. All those who contributed to the success of this event were also honored, including university guests and members of the judging and organizing committees. Scientific Outing No. 02 for Faculty

Scientific Outing No. 02 for Faculty and Students: Strengthening University-Community Relations “City Evenings” – First Edition  “Features of the Revolution in Algerian Theater” with Dr. Abdelhamid Khatala, General Supervisor of the Theater Club at Abbas Laghrour University, Khenchela. Cultural Event: “Book Forum” – Edition 54 In a distinguished cultural atmosphere filled with creativity and celebrating the purposeful word, the Faculty of Letters and Languages organized a scientific and cultural outing in coordination with the Main Public Reading Library of Khenchela Province. The event, titled “City Evenings” for the year 2026, was attended by a select group of professors, writers, students interested in cultural affairs, and representatives of the media.  Opening of the Evening The evening began with the national anthem, followed by a minute of silence in memory of the late former President Liamine Zéroual. Mr. Majid Boudiar, Director of the Main Library, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing that the “City Evenings” program is a qualitative addition to the local cultural scene. He noted that it will be organized periodically every three months to serve as an open space for dialogue and intellectual exchange.  Theme of the Evening This first edition was titled “Features of the Revolution in Algerian Theater.” Dr. Khatala Abdelhamid from the University of Khenchela presented a valuable lecture discussing the dimensions of the Algerian Revolution’s presence in theatrical works, highlighting the role of theater in documenting national memory and enhancing historical awareness. The session was professionally moderated by writer and journalist Chadli Khalil, whose dynamic approach encouraged rich discussions and reflected the high level of cultural awareness among the attendees.  Discussions and Literary Readings The evening also featured various literary readings performed by Chaima Bouaoun, Bashir Aouaidjia, and Amara Roumi. The event was held under the auspices of the University Rector and organized by the Provincial University Sports League and the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities, in coordination with the Directorate of Youth and Sports and the Provincial Handball League. Commemoration of Victory Day – March 19th  In commemoration of the glorious Victory Day, observed on March 19th of each year, and amidst an atmosphere filled with pride in our national memory and the sacrifices of the heroes of the Liberation Revolution: Under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, the Faculty of Letters and Languages, in coordination with the qalem elmoubdiaa  Club and with the contribution of the Regional Mujahid Museum, organized a scientific seminar addressing the significance of this eternal occasion and its historical and national dimensions.  The program featured valuable scientific interventions, most notably a lecture by Professor Rachid Belaifa, alongside a presentation by the Director of the Regional Mujahid Museum. These lectures highlighted pivotal milestones in the history of the Revolution and emphasized the importance of safeguarding collective memory and passing it on to future generations.  The event also hosted an exhibition of murals and historical photographs, in addition to a variety of cultural activities performed by students, ranging from poetry to theater. The gathering concluded with the honoring of participants in recognition of their contributions.  In the same context, the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities, in coordination with the Talent Club within the university, initiated a diverse cultural activity inspired by the symbolism of the occasion. “Ramadan of Achievement in Commemoration of Pride” Competition 📜✨ In an atmosphere brimming with patriotism and faith, our three science clubs (GeekDZ Club, the English-Language Scientific Presentations Club, and the Computer Science Club) commemorated Victory Day during Ramadan with a unique intellectual competition on Monday, March 16, 2026. Victory Day In commemoration of the glorious anniversary of Victory Day, which falls on March 19th of each year, and in an atmosphere filled with pride in national memory and remembrance of the sacrifices of the heroes of the liberation revolution: 🔹 Under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, the Faculty of Arts and Languages, in coordination with the Creative Pen Club and with the contribution of the Regional Museum of the Mujahid, organized a scholarly symposium that addressed the significance of this immortal occasion and its historical and national dimensions. 🔹 The program included valuable scholarly presentations, most notably a lecture by Professor Rachid Belifa, in addition to a lecture presented by the Director of the Regional Museum of the Mujahid, highlighting pivotal moments in the history of the revolution and the importance of preserving collective memory and transmitting it to future generations. 🔹 The event also featured an exhibition of murals and historical photographs, as well as a range of cultural activities in which students excelled, including poetry and theater. The meeting concluded with an honoring ceremony for the participants in recognition of their contributions. 🔹 In the same vein, the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities, in coordination with the Creative Pen Club, organized a diverse cultural activity inspired by the symbolism of the occasion. Visit of a group of students from the Training Point to Martyr Ammar Hakkas Primary School – El Hamma city.

زيارة فوج من طلبة نقطة التكوين – المدرسة العليا للأساتذة- جامعة عباس لغرور -خنشلة – لابتدائية الشهيد عمار حقاص – الحامة المدينة. في إطار تفعيل عملية الاحتكاك والتماس بين طلبة نقطة التكوين، الموطنة بجامعة عباس لغرور- خنشلة- وبين الفضاءات المدرسية والتربوية التابعة لمديرية التربية بالولاية، قام فوج من 33 طالبا، وبتأطير من الأستاذين: السعيد قاسمي وخميسي آدامي، وبمشاركة فاعلة؛ مادية ومعنوية من نادي” آفاق” الذي تم تأسيسه حديثا في نقطة التكوين بزيارة إلى المدرسة الابتدائية: “عمار حقاص” الواقعة في قلب مدينة الحامة، قصد التعرف عن قرب على هذا الفضاء التعليمي والتربوي، والاطلاع على الأجواء والظروف التي يتم فيها أداء الرسالة التعليمية والتربوية.      الزيارة التي تمت برمجتها بالتنسيق الإيجابي والفاعل بين مديرية التربية للولاية والجامعة، سمحت للفوج بزيارة مجموعة من حجرات الدراسة، ومحاورة أساتذة المدرسة، وطرح الانهمامات التي يرى الطلبة أنها تعضد تجربتهم، وتخصب مداركهم، وتصقل مهاراتهم، وقد كانت أجواء ذلك كله إيجابية ومنتجة، إذ فتحت المؤسسة جميع أبوابها، ويسرت كل السبل لإشباع شغف الطلبة وتوقعاتهم….وقد كان تقديمهم لهدايا رمزية لتلاميذ المؤسسة لفتة تربوية وإنسانية وأخلاقية وحضارية عالية. ونحن إذ نسجل وقائع هذه الزيارة، فإن إدارة نقطة التكوين، أصالة عن نفسها، ونيابة عن كل طلبتها، ترفع كل آيات الشكر لجميع الأطراف التي أسهمت في نجاح هذه الخرجة العلمية: من داخل الجامعة: الإخوة منير إيكن وعز الدين إيكن وسمير منادي ومسؤول خلية الأمن، الذين كانت استجابتهم فاعلة، سريعة ومتفهمة. من خارج الجامعة: السيد مدير التربية للولاية على الموافقة والترخيص، والأخوان مرير عمار والسعيد لحذيري، اللذين مهدا كل السبل لإنجاح الزيارة. السيد مدير المدرسة الابتدائية “عمار حقاص” والزملاء الأساتذة في المؤسسة؛ هؤلاء الأبطال الصامتون، الذين كانت حفاوة استقبالهم سخية، وتعاونهم مشكورا، ورغبتهم في تحفيز الطلبة والأخذ بأيديهم أكيدة وبارزة. تلاميذ المدرسة الذين أظهروا تفاعلا مدهشا، وأعطوا انطباعا قويا بأنه يكفي كي نمر إلى الضفة الأخرى من النهر، أن نحسن استثمار الطاقات الكامنة، وأن نوقظ الحس التربوي والإنساني العميق. وتعد إدارة نقطة التكوين بقية الطلبة، بزيارات مماثلة، وأنشطة أخرى…...اقرأ أكثر

Scientific Field Visit to Primary Schools The Higher School of Professors (ENS) at the University of Shahid Abbes Laghrour, Khenchela, organized a scientific field visit in coordination with the Directorate of Education for the Province of Khenchela.    Quranic Competitions  Abbas Laghrour University   Ramadan Activities As part of the cultural and religious activities organized by the Creative Pen Club of the Faculty of Letters and Languages at Abbas Laghrour University, Khenchela, a religious competition was held for students on Monday, Ramadan 26, 1447 AH (corresponding to March 16, 2026). The event took place at the headquarters of the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities. The competition focused on the memorization of Surah Al-Furqan as well as the Prophetic Hadiths. It was held in a distinguished competitive atmosphere aimed at reinforcing religious values and encouraging students to strengthen their bond with the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet ﷺ. An awareness-raising study day under the slogan: Safe products, confident consumers.

On the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day, March 15, 2026, the Directorate of Commerce of Khenchela Province, in coordination with Abbes Laghrour University Khenchela and several local partners, organized an awareness-raising seminar under the slogan “Safe Products, Confident Consumers.” The event included an awareness exhibition with the participation of public administrations, university professors and students, trainees, and economic operators, as well as a children’s theatrical performance entitled “A Child’s Recipe.” The seminar featured several presentations addressing various topics related to consumer rights, monitoring mechanisms, the importance of media in consumer awareness, and the health risks of unsafe products. Emphasis was placed on the university’s role in guiding students and instilling a culture of conscious and safe consumption.
