On March 4, 2026, Abbes Laghrour University  Khenchela, under the supervision of the University Rector, Professor Abdelouahed Challa, organized three training workshops on international research projects for professors from various scientific bodies and research laboratories. These workshops aimed to enable professors to learn about preparing international research projects and to become familiar with European and international funding programs and research partnerships. They also benefited from the expertise of professors with experience in this field. The workshops included: The first workshop, led by Professor Hadia Yahiaoui from Khenchela University, provided a detailed presentation on the ARICA program and its participation mechanisms. The second workshop, led by Professor Boumaaraf Belkacem from Biskra University, focused on the PRIMA program and the steps involved in preparing joint international research projects. The third workshop covered the CBHE and Horizon Europe programs. The workshop, facilitated by Professor Sofiane Boudalia from the University of Guelma, explained how to find partners and funding sources for international research projects. This objective evaluation reflects the university administration’s commitment to a culture of monitoring and accountability. 🔹The institution’s five-year project for 2026-2030 was also presented. The Rector outlined its strategic objectives across all areas, specifying the goals set for each and highlighting the project’s forward-looking vision, which aims to enhance the university’s standing in various fields. 🔹During this meeting, the University Director called upon the entire university community to actively and responsibly participate in realizing this project and to work as a unified team to achieve its objectives. He emphasized that its success hinges on the integration of efforts and the coordination of roles among all stakeholders. 🔹He also opened the floor for discussion, inviting attendees to enrich the project with suggestions and observations in an interactive atmosphere that reflected a spirit of partnership and collective commitment. 🔹At the conclusion of the meeting, the institution’s five-year plan for 2026-2030 was unanimously approved by the attendees. In commemoration of National Martyrs’ Day, observed on February 18th, Professor Abdelwahed Challa, Director of Abbes Laghrour University Khenchela, participated this morning in the ceremonies held under the auspices of the Governor of the province. The commemoration began at the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Khenchela, where the flag was raised, the national anthem played, a wreath laid, and the opening chapter of the Quran (Al-Fatiha) recited in remembrance of the martyrs’ pure souls, in fulfillment of their pledge and in perpetuation of their sacrifices.
